Maintenance Release Upgrades

 

Maintenance releases are available to currently registered owners of Eclipse. A new maintenance release is simply a more recent build of a particular version of Eclipse. For example, 5.1 Build 6 is newer than 5.1 Build 5. You can see the current build installed on your machine by selecting About Eclipse from the Help menu. Your license file allows for all newer releases of the same version.

If you download a maintenance release that is a newer version (5.2 is newer than 5.1) than that installed on your machine, Eclipse will revert to a 30 day trial of the newer version. To return to the perpetual license for the older version, you will need to restore the older executable. You may want to backup any files that will be replaced by the maintenance upgrade.
