NEC2 -
Commands
This page contains a list of the NEC2 commands. The
commands are separated into two sections 'Geometry Control
Cards' and 'Program Control Cards'.
Geometry
Control Cards are used to build the structure. With Geometry
control cards the user has the ability to:

Enter
wires, cylinders, arcs, helices and surface patches

Alter
the geometry with transformations, reflections and scaling
Program
Control Cards
allow the user to:
-
Place
transmission lines, ground parameters, networks, and
loads
-
Request
radiation patterns, near fields, max coupling and structure
excitation
Each of the NEC commands has a user friendly input
box. You can use these input boxes to enter a new command
or edit an existing one. Editing a command is as easy as
double clicking the mouse over a command in the input file.
The associated input box for the command will then be displayed.
In addition to the dialog box for each command, NEC-Win
Pro also contains two other features to assist in modeling:
Wire Assist and the NEC-Win Basic insert.
Wire Assist allows you to build your antenna structure
in a spreadsheet style. The ability to cut, copy and paste
data into commercial spreadsheets makes Wire Assist a powerful
tool.
The NEC-Win Basic Insert brings the ease of use associated
with NEC-Win Basic into NEC-Win Pro. Build your basic structure
within NEC-Win Basic then bring the design into NEC-Win
Pro to use the advanced features.
